Conisbrough Castle
Conisbrough Castle occupies a strategic position on a large knoll at the north-east end of the historic town of Conisbrough, which occupies a ridge that rises rather higher, running south-west. The castle’s outer bailey is now roughly defined by Castle Hill to the west, and earthworks to north, east and south.
Cusworth Hall
Cusworth Hall can surely be described as the jewel in Doncaster’s crown. The beautiful Grade I listed building is set in acres of historic parkland, with lakes, plantations and pleasure grounds offering spectacular views across the town.
The site, which was extensively restored between 2003-2007, invites visitors to experience a wealth of architecture, heritage, landscape history and wildlife, together with a varied programme of exhibitions, events and activities.
